IAB taxonomy is a predefined set of standard categories developed by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). IAB taxonomy helps advertisers discover and target audiences that fit their desired customer profile. IAB taxonomy has a 5-level tree structure with Demographic, Interest, and Purchase Intent at the top level.
With the Unified Taxonomy section of the Data Management Platform API, you can retrieve the standard IAB categories and later assign them to your audiences using the Taxonomy section.
