Unified taxonomy is a predefined set of standard categories derived from the IAB Taxonomy. Unified taxonomy helps advertisers discover and target audiences that fit their desired customer profile. Adform's unified taxonomy has a 3-level tree structure with Demographics, Household, Financial, and Interests at the top level. The middle level divides these categories into Age, Income Level, Travel, and many others. The most granular level provides specific age intervals, income level intervals, family and business travel, and so on.
With the Unified Taxonomy section of the Data Management Platform API, you can retrieve the standard IAB categories and later assign them to your audiences using the Taxonomy section.
