Adform DSP and Ad Server APIs support advertisers and agencies by streamlining various aspects of creating, managing, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns. This article introduces the DSP and Ad Server APIs available in Adform and how they can help you manage your programmatic or direct campaigns efficiently.

With Adform DSP and Ad Server APIs, you can:

  • Create, modify, and manage your campaigns, including budgets, pacing, inventory, and other delivery-related settings.

  • Optimize your campaigns by adjusting various campaign, order, line item, and advertiser settings based on your KPIs.

  • Create and manage your ads and relevant assets.

  • Analyze and improve your campaign performance using extensive reporting and forecasting capabilities.

DSP and Ad Server API Structure

Adform DSP and Ad Server APIs have the following structure:

  • Advertisers: Use advertiser-related APIs to create advertisers for each client, brand, or market in order to efficiently manage your campaigns.

  • Campaigns: Use Campaigns API to create new campaigns or edit existing ones. This is where you define the schedule, budget, and other general settings for the delivery of your ads.

  • Orders: Use Orders API to organize campaigns by specific objectives, target audience, channels, geographical markets, also to control budgets, billing and creative formats.

  • Programmatic line items: Use RTB Line Items Setup API to control spending, budget, targeting, ad frequency, channels, and other ad delivery-related settings.

  • Direct line items: Use Direct Line Items Management API to serve ads on specific inventory, following specifications agreed to with a publisher.

  • Creatives: Use ads-related APIs to create and manage image, standard HTML5, video, tracking link, third-party, or native ads.

  • Site tracking: Use site tracking-related APIs to collect data from websites, online shops, and apps where visitors interact with your ads.

  • Reporting: Use Reporting Stats API to monitor the performance of your campaigns.

Prerequisites

To start working with any buy-side API, you need:

  • Adform DSP or Ad Server user account with the relevant permissions assigned that allow you to access certain features and functions in Adform.

  • OAuth client with the relevant scopes assigned by Adform Support (technical@adform.com) that give access to specific APIs. You can see the needed scopes next to each endpoint, or in the related Adform Help article.

  • Depending on the API you're using, you might need specific IDs to use in your requests. You can see the needed IDs in each endpoint, or in the related Adform Help article.
