Guide to Ad Verification

Use this guide to verify if the ads created in Adform platform work as expected when served on a publisher's site. Verify a publisher only if the publisher can accept third-party tags and adheres to IAB standards.

Verification workflow can be used by advertisers, agencies or publishers:

  • Advertisers and agencies

Advertisers and agencies can test Adform-based ads on a publisher's site to verify that the ad works as expected with the publisher's ad serving functionality.

  • Publisher

A publisher can test Adform ads on its site to verify that it can serve Adform ads with the expected creative functionality.

To test ads on a publisher's site:

  1. Decide which ads to test. (The table below indicates which ad formats you can test.)

  2. Download the tags to implement the selected ads in a test environment. (For details, see Send and Export Tags.)

  3. Send one or more test page URLs to Adform Support at technical@adform.com.

  4. Adform Support verifies the ad serving and creative functionality for the ads.

The advertiser, agency, or publisher initiates all communications about the selected ad formats for testing. After tags are implemented in a test environment, Adform Support only verifies the ad serving and creative functionality in that environment.

If Adform support cannot verify the ads, they typically ask that the publisher make specific changes to their webpage to make sure that banners are properly rendered and trackers fire accurately. If it is determined that the problem lies with the publisher and they decline to address it, we classify the domain as unverified and discontinue the process for that particular page or domain.

Use the ad formats listed in the table to test for ad serving and creative functionality but not for discrepancy checks. It’s usually enough to test ad serving and creative functionality to establish accurate reporting. If you need a discrepancy check, please contact Adform support at technical@adform.com for more information. Adform support conducts a discrepancy check by comparing the quantity of impressions and clicks collected through the Adform tag with those obtained from a specific publisher.
